The Cheyenne Ski Club has been shredding the slopes since 1959 and is a designated Historic Ski Club by the Far West Ski Association. Our members enjoy downhill, cross-country, and alpine touring (sometimes all on the same day) on overnight and day trips in Southeastern Wyoming, Northern Colorado, and beyond.
Our mission is three-fold:
- To promote interest and increased participation in winter sports activities;
- To promote increased safety in those activities; and,
- To have fun together.

Ski Club Bike Riding
The CSC is promoting in town bike rides!
As we have entered Spring, plan to join us for an evening bike rides!

Adopt-A-Spot
Fall is near! It’s time for the Cheyenne Ski Club to participate in the Greenway clean up at the Optimist Park. The CSC has participated in this volunteer event in the past, and we’re doing it again.
WHY: Because after the severe windy weather we’ve experienced, volunteering to help the City of Cheyenne makes all our parks look inviting and beautiful!
WHAT TO BRING: Boots or sturdy shoes, long pants and gloves, and outerwear that is appropriate for the weather that day. The City of Cheyenne will provide trash bags and light weight gloves if needed on site.

Cheyenne Ski Club Monthly Meetings
The CSC meetings are on the second Thursday of each month starting in November. The location of the meeting may change each month to accommodate the members attendance.
The CSC Board meets at 5:30 p.m., and the General Meetings are at 6:30 p.m.

2026 Cheyenne Ski Club Kick Off
Saturday, October 24th, 2026, is the annual Chili Cook Off and Annual Meeting
The Cheyenne Ski Club will reunited to talk about upcoming ski trips! Come and sample the various chili’s provided by our members.
Nominations for the new board members will occur, and skiers can renew their membership!
Don’t worry, it’s not too late to gain a membership and join us.
Two Cheyenne Ski Club Board member positions will be voted on, the President and Membership Chair.

Trips: What ski pass did you get? Icon, Epic, Snowy Range, or…?
The CSC Board has selected some Nordic trips and ski opportunities that will be presented at the 10/24/26 Kick Off!
We participated in the Adopt-A-Spot city clean up along the Greenway (we did it twice this year)!
In 2026 we sponsored a kids “get to learn to ski free day” – and we agreed to do it again in 2027!

Adopt-A-Spot

Snowy Range Ski Area
The word around town and Snowy Range, is that the skiing is better here than a lot of places in Colorado!
The Cheyenne Ski Club is sponsored local youth in the Cheyenne community to learn how to ski or snowboard on March 29th, 2026!
Several Cheyenne Ski Club members came for the last day of the season for Snowy Range. We enjoyed whatever snow we could find on the mountain, as any day skiing is better than any day at work! Snowy Range closed one week early due to the lack of snow and unseasonably warm weather. Still a fun day, though… it was UW Alumni day, live music, and pond skimming! Lots of laughs and splashes on the crowd watching as skiers and snowboarders waterskied the 53 foot manmade pond. Many attempts were made, and many did make it to the other side.
Chicken Curling?
Yes! Some CSC members participated in this fun and silly event March 14, 2026 at the Cheyenne Event Center. We even had a cheering section! There’s alway next year to join us. There were 57 teams, and our team title was The Clucker Chuckers. This team chucked chickens with 6 other teams. Winning the first 4 games out of 6. As first time entries, we made it to the final rounds.

A good time was had by all! Thanks for coming to celebrate the holidays and learn more about upcoming events!
The White Elephant Gift exchange offered a lot of laughs! The Potluck was also delicious!
