We are all about winter sports
The Cheyenne Ski Club has been shredding the slopes since 1959 and is a designated Historic Ski Club by the Far West Ski Association. Our members enjoy downhill, cross-country, and alpine touring (sometimes all on the same day) on overnight and day trips in Southeastern Wyoming, Northern Colorado, and beyond.
Our mission is three-fold:
- To promote interest and increased participation in winter sports activities;
- To promote increased safety in those activities; and,
- To have fun together.
Events & Trips
Snow Mountain Ranch
Come enjoy the weekend with us, alpine ski or back country ski. The YMCA of the Rockies has other great amenities to enjoy, including on site ski lessons, a work out area, pool. This is a great place to read if you feel like R and R for the day!
$180 for the trip, send check to Cheyenne Ski Club, 2606 McKinney Drive, Cheyenne, WY 82009 or look at our on line payment option. The online payment option is slightly higher priced ($184) to cover transaction cost. Payment is due December 31, 2025. Register now!
Normally we pool our resources for evening meals, one evening meal is supplied by the Ski Club, our Captain Rebecca! There is a kitchen with oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher for prepping your breakfast and lunch. Bring any spices or special bowls/utensils you need!
The trip captain will ask that you sign a liability waiver.

Fall Cheyenne Ski Club Kick Off
This is a Chili Cook Off Event when we come together prior to ski season and get organized for the 2025/2026 snow season. Bring your favorite chili or dish to pass!

Full Moon Ski
Join us at Tie City for a night ski, or maybe snowshoe, or hike! Depends on how much snow is on the ground…..
The CSC Board will have the Warming Hut open, and will provide hot water for Hot Chocolate.
Please bring a snack to share with everyone attending. Wear your winter outdoor gear and headlamps.
Remember to bring your National Parks pass, or you can also pay a small daily fee.

2026 Cheyenne Ski Club Kick Off
Join us for the 2026 Ski and Snow Board Season kick off for the Cheyenne Ski Club,

Join the Fun, talk about upcoming ski trips! Bring your favorite chili for the annual chili cook off. You don’t do chili? Make your favorite dish to pass! Prizes awarded!
Board Members: Two people will rotate off the Board, nominations for two new board members
Trips: What pass did you get? Icon, Epic or ?
What ski trips would you like planned for 2026 (we have some in mind, like to hear from you!)
Special Activities: In the past we have done a purchase for kids clothes and toys around the holiday season – still in or?
We have our own clean up area of Crow Creek greenway – like doing this?
In 2025 we sponsored a kids “get to learn to ski free day” – what about 2026?
