| | TRIP UPDATE - January 1, 2010 Here is the latest news and advisories for the trip:
1. The final payment for this trip is due no later than our meeting on January 7 at the Laramie County Library. If you haven't yet paid in full, and don't think you can make that meeting, let me know so we can arrange to get together before then. At that meeting I must provide all the funds to our Treasurer, Jan, so she can forward all payments to Sun Valley no later than the 11th.
2. Due to the fact that our club doesn't have 20 members traveling on this trip, we find it necessary to cancel the bus to Sun Valley. Therefore, I recommend that we partner up and carpool to the resort. The club will work to figure some amount of reimbursement for gas and travel costs for those who drive. If this impacts your decision to go on the trip, please let me know right away... Feel free to reach out to your friends to arrange to carpool. After you do that, let me know so I will know who is traveling with whom. If you need help with this, let me know and I will coordinate as necessary. Mapquest shows the trip as 691 miles
3. Since we are deleting the bus cost, we have new prices for the trip. The cost is now $370 per person for 4 nights lodging at a deluxe lodge apartment. These are super nice 3 bedroom/3 bath condo apartments next to the SV Lodge. Lift tickets are $180 additional for 3 days, and $165 for a senior lift ticket. So, a total package of 4 nights lodging and 3 days of lifts are $550, or $535 for those over 65 years of age.
We plan to have lots of fun activities, as well as our fabulous silent auction, at the great resort known as Sun Valley. Looking forward to seeing you soon, Linda (307-256-7535)

The trip will feature three days of skiing at World Class Sun Valley Resort, condo lodging at the Sun Valley Inn, and many social opportunities with members from all our council clubs. You'll reach this historic destination on a chartered bus from Cheyenne. Local ground transportation will be provided by Sun Valley transit shuttles. If you are not interested in skiing all three days, the lift tickets may be used for the Sun Valley Lodge Spa or a host of other local activities.
