We will be going to Uncle Bud's Hut in the Galena Mountains near Leadville in Colorado. Uncle Bud's is a 6 mile ski-in to 11,400 ft with great back country and bowl ski opportunities on Galena Mt (12,800). Skiers will need to be able to pack their gear either on your back or pulling a sled. This is a ski-in/ski-out adventure (approximately six miles each way) at one of the locations in the 10th Mountain Hut system. If you’ve never tried hut skiing, here’s your chance!
