Cheyenne Ski Club's 16th Chili Cook-off will take place at the Knights of Columbus at 507 West 28th St. Show up with five bucks, get a short-term membership,  and vote for the best of the house chili (free for kids under 12). Contact Pete at psokolos@yahoo.com for more information if you want to submit your best concoction - all submissions are welcome and eligible for the coveted Traveling Ladle Award.   Doors are open at 5:30 pm, with serious chili beginning not long after. This is a great chance to get acquainted and get more info on our trips. Signups will be accepted for any and all trips on the Nordic schedule, and for the December Alpine trip to Winter Park this evening.

November 3, First Thursday Club Membership Meeting
CHANGE OF LOCATION! We'll get together at Sandee Champlin's Physical Therapy Center of Wyoming. at 1951 Bluegrass Circle, near the Texas Roadhouse.  Sandee will share physical conditioning tips for the ski season.  Learn about all of our alpine and Nordic trips for the season.  Signups will continue for the Winter Park trip and the nordic trips. November 5, Saturday Car Pool to Snow Sports Show
Colorado Snow Sports Expo at Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver from Nov 4-6. We'll be carpooling down for the day.   Meet at the parking lot of #1 Properties at 1660 Dell Range at 8:00 AM on Saturday.  After a day of shopping for equipment, buying passes and picking up brochures for all the places the club can't take you to this year, we'll stop off for a bite on the way home. December 1, First Thursday Club Meeting 
Meeting at Knights of Columbus at 7:00 PM.  Final payment is due for Winter Park, commitments are needed for Snow Mountain Ranch, and signups continue for Jackson, and all the other Nordic trips.  Members in attendance are eligible for some great giveaways.  It could be you!
December 9 - 11, Winter Park Alpine Ski Trip
We're heading down to Winter Park to enjoy their typically excellent early-season conditions.  We'll be staying again at the Snowblaze Condos with its great hot tubs.  Party Saturday evening. Great first trip of the year!
December 15, Third Thursday Club Membership Meeting
The night of our favorite Holiday Gift Exchange.   All members and guests are welcome. The cost?  One wrapped "White Elephant" gift (marked as "adult" or "child") for each person attending.  (White Elephant generally means something you've used that you're ready to pass on to a new owner.)  NOTE:  To help out the COMEA shelter during the holiday season, we're asking you to help out by bringing along some of the following items.  Thanks!

December 17, Saturday Cross Country at Happy Jack
Nordic warmup day at Happy Jack. We'll meet at the Tie City Parking Lot for some skiing and some snacks. Begins about 10AM.  We have some leftover chili planned.  Parking charges apply of $5 per vehicle.

We're returning to Francie's Cabin, a backcounty hut south of Breckenridge.  You'll need to be able to take your food and sleeping gear on your back or on a sled to reach the hut.  Great spring skiing in the high county where winter still dominates.  Contact Todd Thibodeau if interested.
